Sharon Edge Martin has been published in dozens of venues from Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine and Malpais Review to Outside and True West. Her essays appear regularly in the Oklahoma Observer, and her poetry is included in Michael Bugeja’s The Art and Craft of Poetry. Martin’s picture book, Froggy Bottom Blues, was published in 2017. Village Books Press published a collection of poetry, Not a Prodigal, in 2018.
Sharon is the host of a monthly poetry reading at Tidewater Winery, Drumright. Among the featured readers are several Oklahoma Book Award winners and the last two Poet Laureates of Oklahoma. She is also a proud Wood Poet, reading her poetry in Okemah and in Tulsa at the Woody Guthrie Center. Her work is included in two Woody Guthrie anthologies.
She is a certified reading specialist and true believer in the power of reading aloud to students of all ages.
