In April 2017, a group of six writers from Claremore and Pryor, Oklahoma met weekly at Northeast Technology Center in Claremore to participate in a creative writing workshop. The writers decided to form a writing group when the class ended the next month.
Dubbing themselves “Last Wednesday Writers” because of their meeting schedule, they worked independently on their own writing projects. Later that year, the group decided to come together to write and publish a fiction anthology.
When their fist collection of short stories Stories From Last Wednesday was released, it was time for the next big move. Having worked so well together, the group jumped on the opportunity to create a publishing company to help other writers get their stories in the hands of readers.

Second, they move around. That makes it tricky to track them down. So while they have typical locations and hours, it’s always best to check their social media feeds for the latest schedule.
Third, you can sit on the bus! Upstairs or even downstairs next to the kitchen, the whole reason they retrofitted a double decker was to carry a sitting space. So enjoy!
Finally, they’re all about community. They source as much local stuff as they can get our hands on. They encourage chit chat at their bar with their staff. They love it when customers hang out for hours at a time. AND they partner with a whole mess of downtown folks re-investing into our city.
