How do I get to the festival?

The Boathouse District is located just south of downtown Oklahoma City and the Bricktown Entertainment District.

How do I find the schedule and where everything is located?

Download the OK Book Fest app to view the schedule for the day. You can view the venue map which shows all the sights to see around the festival and where to find them in the Boathouse District.  At the west end of the Boathouse District, the Book Festival will have an information tent set up to answer questions. Also look for volunteers at the festival to help point you in the right direction.

How much does it cost to attend?

Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, the Oklahoma Book Festival is FREE and open to the public. 

Do I have to register to attend?

We do not require attendees to register but it would be appreciated to assist with the planning process. It does not cost anything to register and attend.

How much does it cost to park?

For the Oklahoma Book Festival, parking in the Boathouse District will be FREE.


You also have the option of parking in Lower Bricktown in the Land Run Monument Parking Lot, south of Bass Pro Shops, and walking along the canal to the Boathouse District.

How do I get a book signed by the author?

All books must be purchased either at the festival or the website presale in order for you to have them signed by the authors. Book buyers are given a receipt that confirms their purchase. Please hold on to your receipt and show it to the designated person at the book-signing.

If you have purchased at least one book from the festival, you are allowed to bring one book to be signed.

We have many book signing opportunities during the Festival. Authors typically hold signing sessions immediately following their scheduled panels. Check the Festival schedule for further details.

How can I be an exhibitor/food vendor?

We are always looking for great additions to our Festival Marketplace. If you are a small press, literary-minded nonprofit, local artist/craftmaker, or a food vendor, visit our exhibitor page or food truck page for more information. 

How do I donate to the Festival?

The Oklahoma Book Festival runs on your donations! You can donate online or by sending a check. 

To donate by check, please make check out to Friends of Oklahoma Center for the Book (or FOCB). Write OBF Donation on the memo line.

I've never been to a book festival. What can I expect?

The Festival is a day-long event that celebrates the literary world. Author presentations are held throughout the day. The day will be filled with book sales, signings, children’s story time,  and family activities. Food trucks offer a variety of food options and activity tents feature book-related kid crafts. The large Festival Marketplace offers a lively setting for booksellers, publishers, literary-minded nonprofits, and local organizations.

Are dogs allowed?

This is a dog-friendly event.

Your fur baby must be dog- and human-friendly to attend. We ask that you are responsible and clean up after them. 

Where can I find the restrooms? Are there accessible ones?

Portable Restroom Trailers are located near the Food Trucks. In addition, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located in the CHK Boathouse, the Devon Boathouse, and the McClendon Whitewater Center (Riversport Rapids on the map).

Where is the first aid/emergency station?

The first aid station is located in the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower at the west end of the festival.
